How to delete your account
In the app
- Open Pista and go to your Profile.
- Tap Settings.
- Under Data, tap Delete account.
- Read what happens, then tap Delete account again to confirm.
What happens
- At once: your account closes the moment you confirm. You’re signed out, you can’t sign in to it again, and you leave your communities.
- Straight away, if you like: you can sign up again with the same email, as a new player. The old account, profile and history don’t come back.
- Within 30 days: Pista deletes or anonymises the old account’s identifiable data: the link to your sign-in and your profile.
What is kept, and for how long
| What | How long |
|---|---|
| Matches you played, so other players’ records and rankings stay right | Kept only in anonymised form, with no link to you |
| Your email address and sign-in, only if your account is suspended when you delete it | Until the suspension is lifted, then deleted with the rest |
| Security and access logs | 90 days, unless an incident needs a documented longer hold |
| Messages you sent to support | 24 months after the matter closes |
| Your waitlist email, if you joined the waitlist | 12 months from signup, or until you withdraw |
Anything else is kept longer only where the law requires it or for a documented security or legal claim. The binding periods are in the Privacy Notice, section 7.
Before you go
- To keep a copy of your data, tap Download my data under Data in Settings first. Once the account is erased, there is nothing left to download.
- Posts and comments you wrote may stay in their community, shown as [Deleted User]. You can delete your own posts in the app before you delete your account.
Can’t open the app?
Email luka@pistasocial.com from the address you sign in to Pista with, and say you want your account deleted. We may need to verify that the request concerns your account. Deletion then follows the same steps and the same 30 days.
