1. About these terms
These Terms of Service apply when you use the Pista mobile application, the Pista website, or related services (together, Pista). Pista is operated by Luka Pejcic in the United Kingdom. You can contact us at luka@pistasocial.com.
By creating an account or using Pista, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Pista.
2. Eligibility and availability
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use Pista. By continuing, you confirm that you are 18 or older and can enter into this agreement. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will close it.
Pista is available in the United Kingdom and Bulgaria. You must not use Pista where doing so would break applicable law.
3. Your account
You must provide accurate information and keep it current. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping access to your email, Apple account, Google account, and device secure. Tell us promptly at luka@pistasocial.com if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
You may not create an account for another person, impersonate anyone, transfer your account, or use automated means to create or access accounts.
4. Using Pista
Pista helps adults participate in padel communities, discover players, organise and record matches, and share community activity. Features may be introduced, changed, limited, or removed as the service develops.
You must not:
- break the law or encourage illegal activity;
- harass, threaten, discriminate against, exploit, or endanger another person;
- post content that is unlawful, deceptive, defamatory, infringing, or invasive of another person's privacy;
- manipulate match records, votes, rankings, invitations, or community access;
- probe, disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, scrape, or bypass Pista's security or access controls;
- upload malicious code or use Pista to send spam; or
- use another person's personal data without a lawful reason and their permission where required.
5. Communities, reports, and moderation
Communities may have leaders or staff-approved administrators. Their tools help manage participation but do not make them employees, agents, or representatives of Pista. Community decisions must follow these terms and applicable law.
You can report a post or a player from the app, and you can block another player so that neither of you sees the other's posts, comments, or profile. You can unblock them later in Settings. A report about a match result goes to the community's leader; other reports are reviewed by Pista.
We do not tolerate objectionable content or abusive behaviour. We review every report and act on it within 24 hours.
Pista may review reports, remove content, warn a player, restrict community features, reverse abusive actions, or suspend or close an account where needed to protect users and the service. A suspended account cannot use Pista until the suspension is lifted. If you think we got a decision wrong, write to luka@pistasocial.com and we will review it.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of content you submit to Pista. You give Pista a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, copy, process, display, and distribute that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service and make it available to the audiences you select or reasonably expect. This licence ends when the content is deleted, except where retention is needed for security, legal compliance, dispute handling, or anonymised service records.
You confirm that you have the rights needed to submit your content and grant this licence.
7. Pista materials
Pista and its licensors own the application, website, branding, software, design, and other materials supplied by Pista. These terms give you a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use Pista for its intended purpose. They do not transfer any intellectual-property ownership to you.
8. Third-party services
Pista may rely on services supplied by Apple, Google, Supabase, Resend, Expo, Vercel, and PostHog. Their own terms and privacy notices may also apply when you use their services. Pista is not responsible for a third-party service outside Pista's reasonable control.
9. Service availability
We aim to keep Pista useful and secure, but we do not promise uninterrupted, error-free, or permanent availability. Pista does not provide medical, legal, financial, professional-sport, or emergency advice. Match information, skill levels, community content, and recommendations may be incomplete or supplied by users.
Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including your rights under UK consumer law.
10. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Pista and delete your account at any time in the app, under Settings → Data → Delete account. If you can't use the app, email luka@pistasocial.com and we will do it for you.
We may restrict, suspend, or close an account where reasonably necessary to protect users or Pista, investigate abuse, comply with law, or enforce these terms. Where appropriate, we will explain the action and provide a way to contact us. A suspended account sees a notice in the app with a link to support, and you can ask us to review a suspension at luka@pistasocial.com.
Account deletion is handled as described in the Privacy Notice. Some anonymised match history may remain so shared match and community records still make sense.
11. Liability
We do not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Subject to that, Pista is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you agreed to these terms, losses caused by events outside our reasonable control, or business losses arising from personal consumer use.
12. Changes
We may update these terms to reflect service, legal, security, or operational changes. We will show a new last-updated date and give reasonable notice of a material change where required. If you do not accept a material change, you should stop using Pista and may delete your account.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you keep any mandatory rights and may bring proceedings in the courts available to you under applicable UK law.
